Go Figure Inc. ("Go Figure," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you use the Go Figure iOS app and website (together, the "Service"). Go Figure is currently in a limited beta. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
You sign in with Google. When you do, we receive your email address, full name, and basic Google profile information from Google's OAuth service, and we store your email and name in our database to create and identify your account. Your profile may also include a profile picture URL (this field is optional and is currently blank by default).
The Service lets you upload and store videos (up to 100 MB each) along with details you add, such as a title, description or caption, and skating element tags. If you send us feedback through the app, we store the feedback text together with your name and email so we can understand and respond to it.
We record timestamps when you upload videos or submit feedback. In addition, our backend provider records standard server access logs, which may include your IP address and basic device or browser information as part of normal HTTP request logging. We may also collect aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics — for example, how often the app is opened or how many videos are uploaded — to understand and improve the Service. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or Mixpanel) in the app.
We use Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) with nonce verification to protect against token replay. Your Google ID token is exchanged with our backend provider (Supabase), which issues its own session token that is stored securely in your device's keychain so you stay signed in across app launches. Signing out clears both your Google and Supabase sessions on your device.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
By default, the videos you upload are visible only to you within the app. A video becomes viewable by other signed-in users only if we (the Go Figure team) approve it as a public example. You can control your own content; only Go Figure can mark a video as a public example.
Important — how video files are stored. Video files are currently held in a storage location that is reachable by direct link. Each file has a long, randomly generated (UUID) address that cannot realistically be guessed, but the link is not yet time-limited, which means anyone who obtains a file's direct URL could access that file. We consider this acceptable for our limited beta and plan to move to short-lived, signed links in a future release. Please keep this in mind and avoid uploading anything you would not want others to potentially see.
We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the Service:
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Go Figure, and information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We keep your account information and the content you upload for as long as your account exists. Videos and other content remain stored until they are deleted; we do not currently apply an automatic retention or deletion schedule. The app does not yet provide an in-app way to delete your account or export your data. If you would like to access, export, or delete your information, email us at contact@gofigureapp.io and we will handle your request. We are working on adding in-app account deletion.
We use a number of safeguards to protect your information, including database access controls (row-level security) so that you can only read and modify your own records, private handling of feedback (feedback is not readable by other users of the app), encrypted transport (HTTPS), nonce-protected sign-in, and secure keychain storage of your session token. As noted in Section 4, video files are currently stored in a publicly reachable location protected by an unguessable link rather than a time-limited one, and your email address is currently stored alongside your videos and feedback as an account identifier. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app requests access to your Photo Library so you can select videos to upload. We do not request access to your camera, microphone, location, or contacts.
Go Figure is used by skaters of many ages, including minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a skater under 13 uses the Service, we ask that a parent, guardian, or coach create and manage the account on their behalf. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at contact@gofigureapp.io and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because the app does not yet offer these controls in-app, you can exercise any of these rights by emailing us at contact@gofigureapp.io.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as we move out of beta and add features like signed video links and in-app account deletion. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at contact@gofigureapp.io.
